A Millionaire’s Secret

Washington DC was nasty as could be. As I sat on the bench waiting for my bus to arrive I couldn’t wait to get back to the backwoods of Louisiana. I had almost sat in a pool of blood that was on the far end of the bench and I was ready to go. I truly hope people coming to visit our country don’t make DC one of their stops.

Anyway, before my bus arrived I was approached by a nicely dressed elderly gentleman in need of directions. I told him I had no idea what he was looking for as I too was just passing through. To this day I’m not sure why, but we started talking as if we had known each other for years.

We talked about life, people and eventually the conversation turned to business. It was here that the gentlemen saw something in me, I suppose, that made him feel like sharing what he said was the greatest secret ever told. He said everyone had heard it but almost no one paid any attention to it, even though it was the one thing that could bestow a fortune upon any man or woman who used it.

My ears where definitely starting to perk up. Something about his tone told me this man knew from whereof he spoke. And I wanted to know what the secret was with a passion. He must have sensed my anxiousness because at that very moment he gave me a warning that was almost a scolding.

I’ll try to recount here as best I can the rest of our conversation…

Man: “Do not make the mistake of shrugging off what I am about to tell you because you have heard it before. No doubt you have heard it already from at least one person in your life. You may have even heard it many times. Do you have any aversion to religion Mr. Says?” Read More…

Beginning your Goal Setting Plan

The first step in setting personal goals is to consider what you want to achieve in your lifetime, as setting lifetime goals that gives you the overall perspective that shapes all other aspects of your decision making process.
To help give you a broad, and balanced coverage of all important areas in your life, try to set goals in some or all of the following categories:

• Artistic
Do you want to achieve any artistic goals? If so, what is it? Do you want to write a book; paint a masterpiece, or write a song?
• Attitude:
Does your own mindset hold you back from making progress? Is there any part of the way that you behave that upsets you for example, do you talk too much? If so, set a goal to improve your behavior or find a solution to the problem.
• Career:
What level do you want to reach in your career? Is it your goal to be the boss or own your own company someday, or do you want to be the president of someone else’s company?
• Education:
Is there any knowledge you want to acquire in particular or some area of study that you would like to pursue? What information and skills will you need to achieve these goals?
• Family:
Do you want to be a parent? If so, how are you going to be a good parent? How do you want your partner or family members to see you?
• Financial:
How much do you want to earn by what age in your life? What can you do to make that come about?
• Physical:
Are there any athletic goals you want to achieve, or do you want good health deep into old age? What steps are you going to take to achieve this?

Focus and Fear of Success – The Biggest Monkey on Your Back?

by Jack Humphrey

If you have been on the internet for awhile, you know that there are millions of people trying anything and everything to get your attention. They want in your wallet. It’s a great big money grab out there folks, and the net has become the biggest marketing arena on the planet, driving whole industries and generating Billions of dollars in sales.

So what’s the problem? Well, none if you are one of the small businesses with focus. A whole lot of problems if you lack focus.

There are myriad small business opportunities on the net today. And if you do your research and find something you want to associate with, or you create a product for a well-researched target market, you are well on your way to financial success. Or are you?

You see the more you become active on the net as either someone looking for the right opportunity, or as someone who has found the right opportunity already, the more you are bombarded with choices. Everyday you get emails saying that the next best thing since sliced bread has come along.

The new “thing” demands your attention and you get nervous that you might be missing out on another opportunity for financial success.

But don’t you already have one? At least, haven’t you been presented with several great opportunities in the last week? So why on earth take a serious look at yet another? Why fragment the time you need to spend on your current business with all the marketing it takes to get yet another off the ground and profitable?

What I am talking about here is something I call “Sign-up-Itis.” (Not to be confused with Sinusitis, which can be just as debilitating.)

It goes like this: You find your focus, you are fired up. All is good and you are ready to start working on the hundreds of little things you need to do to get traffic and make sales. You need to get good search engine positioning, you need a links campaign, you have to research ezines in your niche and place ads, you need to set up joint ventures, you need to create and update content on your site, set up a merchant account, a delivery system, and the list goes on from there.

Then you get an email from a friend or associate telling you that you HAVE to check out the latest and greatest. You do. It’s an awesome opportunity. You look at your plate and it’s already full with your current project, but the plate has a lot of things on it you really don’t enjoy doing. It’s a lot of work to make any business pay off, as you can see from the short list above.

“It’s Much More Fun To Think About Success Than It Is To Do The Work It Takes To Achieve It”

But this NEW thing is exciting, fresh, new. It draws you in and it’s MUCH more fun to think about success than it is to do the work it takes to achieve it, so you buy in. You get a ton of tools to start this new venture. It’s all overwhelming, especially since you have gone back to your first venture and realized you now have TWO great things that can both make you money, but they BOTH need your attention on a grand scale in order to see profit.

Now, here is the part where most people give up. They say to themselves “Internet marketing is nothing more than a series of steps that I cannot complete. I am always excited when I get started on something, but when it comes down to DOING what I start, it gets hard and doesn’t happen as fast as I would like it to.”

Let me make one thing clear right now: It is not the net’s fault for not providing us with real opportunity.

Opportunity abounds and is right there for us to snatch up and achieve success. Never let yourself fall into the trap of reasoning your way out of success. “It’s not for me.” “I can’t do this – it’s for people much better with computers and internet marketing than me.”

The problem lies with your focus and your fear of success. You must CHOOSE the opportunity you are passionate about, or create a product you stand behind and love, and then hunker down for the long-haul! Make yourself do everything you are taught to do to build your business and build it – all the way or not at all.

It should be no surprise the next time you get an email with the next best thing inside. You should say to yourself “That’s great! Another opportunity for someone has just been born! But I am busy with MY business and cannot take on another venture at this time.”

We Do It On Purpose

Lack of focus is sometimes a purposeful self-defeating tactic your subconscious uses to keep you from success. Success is NOT a destination. It’s a journey.

5 Qualities You Must Have to Succeed in Affiliate Marketing

The idea of being mere passengers on a ship meant to sail to the farthest points does not appeal to people who like to put their destiny into their own hands. They have the desire of maneuvering the ships themselves, of being able to be the ones to take it anywhere they want to. Being aboard a ship on its way to a particularly great destination is something each and every one of them dreams of, and the knowledge that they have the capacity to steer it themselves is what makes them actually want to.

Perhaps this is the reason why more and more people are succumbing to one of the most popular businesses around affiliate marketing. It is because in this business, there are no bosses to order the employees around. There are no deadlines to meet and no clutter of work do to. One only needs to be equipped with the tools needed to succeed in a business such as this, and he is bound to get what his heart ultimately desires.

Just what are the things needed to be able to succeed in affiliate marketing? What must one have within himself to be able to do well in this industry? There is a lot of competition involved in affiliate marketing, and to be able to rise above the norm, one must be equipped with just the right stuff necessary to propel him forward. There are five things one must ultimately possess if he wants to achieve the glory he is yearning for in this business, and these five things are a must for him to possess to be able to stand out among the rest.

  • The very first quality one must possess if he wants to try his hand in affiliate marketing is the willingness to learn and be trained. Treading through unfamiliar territory is scary stuff if one is not properly equipped, and he might get lost amidst a jungle of the unknown. Learning the tricks of the trade is also an important aspect of the game, and one willingness to know it all will give him far better advantages in the business than he could ever imagine.
  • The second quality one must possess is the willingness to invest time and effort even if direct results do not seem at all apparent. Although several months may pass without good news, it is important for one who has his foot in the industry to hold on and wait. It is this quality which would save him from giving up after investing a lot of himself in the business.
  • The third quality one must possess is self-determination. If one wants to conquer the affiliate marketing world, he must have the ability to push himself ahead. Never having to say die is a quality each and every affiliate marketer should possess, and the ability to motivate oneself into scaling greater heights is an ability which would actually take an affiliate marketer there. One Shot… One Kill!

(c) by John Colanzi

Many marketers have compared the art of marketing to the art of war. Some of the names used by marketers for their systems bears this out.

Don’t think so?

What do these programs bring to mind?

* Guerilla Marketing
* The Warriors
* Stealth Marketing

Looking at those names you know these guys mean business. So what separates these successful marketers from the 95% who fail?

They’re not smarter than the average marketer, but they do market slightly different.

The vast majority of marketers are going to battle with a shot gun. They have no clear cut target. They are closing their eyes, pulling the trigger and hoping they hit something.

They may occasionally hit something, but sooner or latter they’re going to run out of ammunition. Unless they are extremely lucky, their advertising budget will be spent with little or no sales to show for their efforts.

The top marketers on the other hand, think like a sniper. They know that they may only get one chance to close the sale. They take careful aim and make every shot count.

They know their target.

So what do these snipers do?

The most important element in their arsenal is their targeted list. They are masters of building and working their list.

By targeting their market they place the odds in their favor.

By making every shot count they have enough reserve funds to turn around a losing offer and make it into a winner.

If you truly want to succeed, learn the difference between a suspect, a prospect and a customer.

Put away that shot gun and make every shot count.

Start targeting your advertising campaigns and remember, “One shot, one kill!”

Do that and you’ll avoid being the next casualty.

Wishing You Success,

When some folks begin to think about a business of their own, they know in that very moment what kind they are going to start. Then, there are the rest of us…

Knowing that we want to have a business of our own is not enough. Many of us have struggled with the important question of what type of enterprise we would like to start.

Franchises offer a simple pre-packaged money making idea, but the cost of a franchise often makes it a prohibitive option to most folks who contemplate going out on their own.

For those who do not have a million dollars to buy a McDonalds franchise, we must look to other ideas for our own business.

There are literally hundreds of lucrative home business ideas for you to choose from, which will suit every type of personality and all levels of financing. From selling information on the Internet as a infopreneur, to growing delicious gourmet mushrooms for sale to restaurants and catering companies; there is a pile of money to be made by filling a need, for these and a host of other necessary services.

Of course, actually liking what you do, will have a lot to do with the success of your new venture, so be sure to pick a home business that you`ll enjoy running and that will keep you motivated.

For example, if you`re a math whiz, an accounting or income tax service might be the ideal home business for you to start. Perhaps writing is your forte and you`d like to start your own home based copywriting service or advertising agency. Each of these businesses can be run successfully–and profitably from the comfort of your own home.

Academia might not be your cup of tea, but maybe you are good with your hands — having a creative genius where crafts are concerned. Craft items are red-hot sellers at swap meets, country fairs and world wide over the Internet, and they can provide you with solid profits. If crafts don`t interest you, then why not start a laundry service with pick-up and delivery, or a shopping service for shut-in`s–even a companion service or granny sitter or a doctor shuttle service; any of which, could be much in demand, in and around your neighborhood or community.

When brainstorming new ideas for your future home business, keep in mind the soul of any successful endeavor is providing a product or service that others will actually purchase in quantities. Satisfy the needs of your target market, and your target market will keep you and your home based business healthy, happy and profitable.

5 Reasons Why You Want to Get the My Millionaire Mentor Program

One of the most common complaints that I hear when people talk about Internet Marketing programs is that there wasn’t enough support to help them get the most out of the course. They end up getting overwhelmed by the amount of information that they receive and have no one to go to – to guide them in the right direction.

When this happens to people, they usually end up throwing their arms up in frustration, giving up and never returning to the product again. That means lots of wasted time, effort… and cash!

So is Michael Cheney’s new program, My Millionaire Mentor 2011, one of these types of programs? Nope – not in my opinion. You get a bunch of support so there is no reason to get overwhelmed with all the information… and I might add – there is quite a bit of quality information given to you in Michael’s easy to follow videos.

There are many other reasons why you would want to check out My Millionaire Mentor (MMM) and here are just 5 of them…

1. It’s Proven

Michael provides all of his money making methods, which he calls “Cash Catchers”, that he personally used to make Millions of dollars online.

2. It’s What People Want

Michael asked his 100,000+ list to help him out with his MMM program to find out exactly what they wanted and what the most common problems were. With this information, his list ended up influencing the content of the program.

3. Shows How To Deal With Overwhelm
